Yash Rana is a Virtual Production trainee and a multimedia graduate with a passion for storytelling through 2D/3D animation and real-time filmmaking. In his role as a Virtual production supervisor, he coordinated the ICVFX pipeline and worked with different teams to bring the virtual scene to life on the LED volume. He collaborated with the lighting, camera, engine operation, and motion capture teams to make sure assets were well placed, lighting looked good, and the final in-camera look matched the creative vision. Yash helped balance creative goals with technical challenges, kept communication clear, and assisted in solving problems during production. While he didn’t manage the entire pipeline alone, he supported the process by making decisions that helped all teams work together toward a shared visual result. Prior to this, he worked as a 2D/3D animator and motion graphics artist, creating content for educational platforms, NGOs, government campaigns, and music videos. He holds a Bachelor of Honors degree in Multimedia Technology, where his final-year project—a promotional video for Yatri Supply—demonstrated his ability to handle the full animation pipeline, from storyboarding to rendering. He is skilled in Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and Unreal Engine, and enjoys working with teams, solving problems, and adapting to new challenges. His career goals include becoming a Virtual Production Supervisor or Engine Operator in LED volume stages and contributing to meaningful storytelling through the evolution of real-time production techniques.
